Hand-braided seagrass basket for home storage

This decorative basket is hand-braided from natural seagrass by skilled craftspeople, making each piece unique in design and size. It suits living rooms, hallways and bathrooms for organizing throws, gloves, hats or towels. The dark grey finish adds a neutral tone that fits a variety of interior styles. Swedish design underlines the simple, functional aesthetic.

Breathable natural material stays cool and quiet

Seagrass construction allows air to circulate through the weave, so stored items remain fresh without trapped heat or moisture. The basket has no mechanical parts, so it operates silently and draws no power in any setting. Handmade variations in the weave do not affect its ability to hold everyday accessories. Lightweight enough to move between rooms as storage needs change.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ÅSUNDEN basket on a shelf or in a cupboard?

The basket is freestanding and requires no installation; simply place it on any flat surface. The common mistake is trying to mount it, but it has no brackets or fixings.

What maintenance will the hand-braided seagrass need over time?

Wipe the seagrass with a damp cloth and let it air dry. Avoid soaking the natural fibres, as prolonged moisture can weaken the hand-braided structure.
