Variable Contrast Fibre-Based Paper
Ilford Multigrade FB Classic is a variable contrast black and white photographic paper coated on a 255g/m2 fibre base. It is designed for creative printers who want neutral image tone, rich blacks and excellent tonal rendition. The glossy surface responds well to toning applications. Each pack contains 25 sheets in 8x10 inch format.
Darkroom Processing Limits
The paper features a short induction time of around 20 seconds for image appearance during development. It offers a 50 percent reduction in wash times compared to earlier versions. Exposure speed is faster, meaning shorter exposure times are required. Uniform grade separation provides consistent contrast control across the filtration range.
Replaces Multigrade IV FB Fiber
This product replaces Multigrade IV FB Fiber with improved maximum density and a closer speed relationship between grades. The jump is worth it for printers who want faster processing, reduced washing and sharper image quality. It is not suited for colour printing or inkjet workflows.
