Premium Variable Contrast Paper

Ilford Multigrade FB Warmtone is a heavyweight, baryta coated, fibre base black and white photographic paper designed for discerning darkroom printers who demand ultimate image quality. It delivers warm deep blacks and creamy whites through an advanced emulsion design. The variable contrast system allows seven full grades of contrast when paired with Ilford Multigrade filters.

Darkroom Compatibility Check

Before ordering, verify that your darkroom safelight is compatible with common black and white paper safelight standards. Confirm you have a suitable variable contrast filter set, such as Ilford Multigrade filters, to access the full seven grades of contrast. Ensure your processing trays and chemistry workflow can accommodate 8x10 inch sheets and the optimum permanence wash sequence.

Creative Control Benefits

The premium emulsion is highly responsive to toning, chemical reduction, and retouching techniques, expanding your creative control over the final print. Compatibility with the Ilford Multigrade system provides a comprehensive contrast management solution. The fibre base construction ensures archival stability and a tactile quality that resin coated papers cannot match.
