Professional darkroom printing paper

Ilford Multigrade V RC Portfolio Paper is a double-weight resin-coated sheet designed for photographers who produce exhibition or portfolio prints in a traditional darkroom. The 255 gsm base delivers the rigid, substantial feel of fibre-based paper while retaining the quick, flat drying of an RC surface. Reformulated in 2021, it matches the image tone and sensitometry of Ilford Multigrade Classic FB for seamless workflow switching.

Pearl surface and heavy base

The neutral pearl finish provides a neutral image tone and neutral base tint that suits both colour and monochrome work without colour casts. Double-weight construction resists curling during processing and handling, so prints stay flat for mounting or sleeving. Resin coating allows standard RC processing times and eliminates the extended wash and dry cycles required by fibre papers.

Twenty-five sheet pack for portfolio runs

The 25-sheet box in 4 x 6 inch format supplies enough material for a complete portfolio sequence or a small exhibition set without opening multiple packages. Consistent emulsion across the batch ensures uniform contrast from grade 00 to 5, reducing test-strip waste when printing a series. Buyers needing larger sheet sizes or higher sheet counts will need a different pack configuration.
