4-Gang Recessed Outlet Box

The iMBAPrice DVFR4W-1 is a four-gang recessed electrical mounting box designed for indoor residential construction. It suits homeowners and installers who need standard outlets or switches to sit flush within the wall cavity. The assembly includes a textured, paintable white trim plate to conceal drywall cuts. It mounts horizontally or vertically on wood studs in new builds or renovation projects.

1/2-Inch Positioning Tabs

Integrated positioning tabs are calibrated for 1/2-inch drywall thickness to ensure accurate alignment on the stud. This single dimensional constraint determines whether the box sits at the correct depth for the trim plate to cover the cut edges cleanly. If the wall material differs from standard 1/2-inch board, the tabs will not register correctly and the finished face will be proud or recessed.

Self-Tightening Wings and Screws

Each box features wings that automatically rotate and clamp the unit to the drywall as the supplied screws are driven. This mechanism locks the box rigidly so it does not shift when plugs are inserted or removed. The most common issue occurs if the installer overdrives the screws, which can strip the wings or crack brittle drywall, reducing the clamping force.
