In-line DSL Splitter with Noise Filter

This pack contains two in-line DSL splitters with integrated noise filters from iMBAPrice. They connect between a telephone wall socket and DSL modem or telephone device to separate voice and data signals. The noise filter reduces line interference that can degrade broadband performance. Each unit is a passive accessory requiring no external power source.

Practical limits of DSL filtering

These splitters only function on copper telephone lines carrying ADSL or VDSL services; they have no effect on fibre, cable or mobile broadband connections. The filter attenuates frequencies above the voice band, so it cannot correct signal loss caused by long line lengths or poor wiring. A separate micro-filter is still required for every other telephone device on the same line. They do not increase the maximum speed provisioned by the internet service provider.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between buying a single splitter or this pack of two?

The pack of two is useful when you need to connect a phone and a modem at two separate wall sockets, or when you want a spare unit for another location.

What does the built-in noise filter actually do for my broadband connection?

It blocks high-frequency DSL signals from reaching the telephone side, preventing static on voice calls and helping the modem maintain a stable sync rate.
