Pack of 50 Cat-5e keystone jacks

This pack contains fifty black RJ-45 keystone punch-down jacks rated for Cat-5e performance. They are designed for terminating twisted-pair cable in wall plates, patch panels or surface-mount boxes. The punch-down termination method allows quick on-site wiring without a crimp tool. Network installers and DIY builders can stock a single bulk pack for multiple drops.

Termination style and cable rating

Each jack uses a punch-down IDC interface that accepts solid or stranded conductors compatible with Cat-5e specifications. The plastic housing is coloured black for easy identification in dense panels. No active components are present so power draw and noise are not applicable. The product is supplied new in a quantity of fifty pieces.

Questions about this item

How do I install these keystone punch-down jacks, and what is the common mistake?

Strip each Cat-5e wire to the correct length, match the colour code on the jack, and press each conductor firmly into the IDC slots with a punch-down tool; the common mistake is not seating the wire fully, which leaves an open circuit.

What maintenance or replacement will these Cat-5e RJ-45 jacks need later?

The jacks are passive components with no moving parts, so they need no routine maintenance; replace a jack only if a port fails a continuity test or shows physical damage after a re-termination.
