Steam Iron with Automatic Cord Winder

The Impress IM-36CR is a 1200 W steam iron designed for everyday garment care. Its built-in cord winder retracts the 8 ft power lead automatically, removing the hassle of manual wrapping. A self-cleaning function helps keep steam vents clear of mineral deposits.

Suited for quick daily pressing.

This iron suits users who value fast heat-up and tangle-free storage for light to moderate ironing sessions. Households with large laundry piles or frequent vertical steaming of heavy fabrics may find the 1200 W output limits steam volume compared to higher-powered models.

1200 W power rating drives heat-up and steam

The single figure that determines performance is the 1200 W power consumption. It governs how quickly the soleplate reaches temperature and how much continuous steam the iron can produce, making it the key specification to match against your typical workload.

Questions about this item

How do I keep the steam vents clear on the IM-36CR over time?

The iron includes a self-cleaning function that flushes mineral deposits from the steam vents to maintain output and prevent marks on garments.

What limits continuous steam performance on the IM-36CR?

The 1200 W rating determines the maximum steam output; once the heater reaches steady state, steam volume cannot exceed what that power level sustains.

How much heat and noise does the IM-36CR produce during all-day ironing sessions?

At 1200 W the iron draws a steady 1200 watts, so it emits noticeable heat and a low boiler hum while the steam function runs continuously.
