Who It Is For

This downloadable typing tutor is designed for children learning keyboard skills on Windows PCs. It offers eleven age-appropriate plans that start with the home row and progress through advanced drills. The bundle includes two themed adventures featuring Mickey Mouse and Typer Island characters. Parents receive detailed reports on speed, accuracy and overall progress.

Installation && Common Issues

The software is delivered as a digital download requiring about 700 MB of hard-drive space. A DVD-ROM drive is listed in the system requirements, and a display of at least 1280 x 720 with 16-bit colour is recommended. A 16-bit sound card plus speakers or headphones are needed for audio cues. Installation problems usually arise when the screen resolution is lower than recommended or the sound hardware is missing.

Capacity && Limits

The program supplies hundreds of lessons, challenges and practice stories that cover the full keyboard. Games unlock automatically using only the keys the child has already learned. The curriculum caps at the eleven included typing plans, so students who finish every level will need additional material for further advancement. No multi-user licensing or network deployment features are described.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Kid's Typing Bundle is working correctly after installation?

Launch the program and confirm the main menu displays both the Mickey Mouse adventure and Typer Island options, then start a Home Row Plan lesson to check that visual guide hands appear and keystrokes register in real time.

What comes with the download and what must I provide separately?

The download supplies both typing adventures, 11 age-appropriate plans, hundreds of lessons, challenges, games and progress reports; you must provide a Windows PC with a Pentium P4 or newer, 700 MB free hard-drive space, a DVD-ROM drive, a 1280 x 720 16-bit display, a 16-bit sound card and speakers or headphones.

Which typing plan should I select for my child's age and skill level?

Choose from the 11 built-in plans ranging from the Home Row Plan for young beginners up to advanced skill-building plans; each plan is labelled by recommended age group so you can match it to your child's current ability.
