4-inch LED recessed kit for low-clearance ceilings

The Infibrite IB-001-2-9W-WH-6PK is a six-pack of 4-inch ultra-thin LED downlights rated for wet locations. Each unit produces 750 lumens at 2700K soft white while drawing 9 watts at 120V. The fixture requires only 2 inches of clearance and includes an integrated junction box for direct wiring.

Replaces 75-watt incandescent cans in shallow

These lights deliver comparable brightness to a 75-watt bulb with up to 88 percent less energy use. The upgrade is worthwhile when existing housings are too deep for the ceiling cavity or when a wet-rated, IC-rated fixture is needed for insulated or damp areas. Smooth 5 to 100 percent dimming works with compatible dimmers.

Verify 120-volt supply and dimmer compatibility

Confirm the circuit provides 120 volts and that the dimmer supports low-load LED operation to avoid flicker. The 1-inch height and 1.5-pound weight suit standard joist bays, but measure the cut-out to match the 4-inch template. Ensure the ceiling material can accept the spring-clip mounting method.

Questions about this item

How much ceiling depth is required for the 4" ultra-thin housing?

The fixture needs only 2" of clearance, so it fits in shallow joist bays or tight soffits where a traditional can will not go.

Which dimmer range works with the 9W LED module for flicker-free operation?

Compatible dimmers give smooth 5% to 100% dimming without hum or flicker, but verify the dimmer is rated for low-wattage LED loads.

When does the sealed 2700K LED array need replacement?

The integrated LEDs are rated for long life; plan to replace the whole trim module when output drops noticeably, typically after many years of daily use.
