Pocket Thermal Camera for Android
The Xinfrared XH09 plugs into a USB-C Android phone and upgrades its native sensor from 256×192 to 384×288 using the X³ algorithm. It fits in a 26 mm cube and weighs only 26.6 g with the lens attached. The 9.0 mm focal length gives a 19.6°×14.7° field of view.
Outdoor Users and Home Inspectors
Hunters can spot people at 435 m and detect game out to 870 m. Inspectors benefit from 50 mK NETD and 500 mK MRTD for finding heat loss. Manual focus and 2×–15× digital zoom cover close and distant targets. iPhone 15 owners cannot use this model.
384×288 Enhanced IR Resolution
The X³ algorithm interpolates the base 256×192 sensor to 384×288, setting the detail level for every thermal image and video. Frame rate runs at 50 Hz with digital detail enhancement. If the native 256×192 resolution meets your needs, a lower-cost module may suffice.

Questions about this item
Does my phone need a USB-C port to use the XH09 thermal camera?
Yes, the XH09 connects via USB-C and works with Android phones that support USB OTG; it is not compatible with iPhone 15.
Will the 9.0 mm focal length and 19.6°×14.7° field of view work well with my existing spotting scope for long-range observation?
The XH09 is a standalone clip-on module with its own optics; it does not mount behind a spotting scope, so the 9.0 mm lens and wide field of view replace rather than complement external optics.
How can I verify the 384×288 enhanced resolution is active after I launch the app?
Open the Xinfrared app settings and confirm the resolution shows 384×288; the X³ Super Algorithm upscales the native 256×192 sensor output, and the on-screen pixel count will reflect the enhanced mode.
