Carbide-tipped jackhammer drill bit with H-thread shank for 2-1/2 inch drilling applications
The Ingersoll Rand 51293017 is a carbide-tipped drill bit built for jackhammer drilling. It uses an H-thread connection and a 2-1/2 inch drill diameter to match compatible rod sizes. The steel body is designed for heavy-duty demolition and construction work. It is not suited for rotary hammer drills or smaller chipping hammers.
This bit replaces dull or damaged jackhammer tips that no longer penetrate efficiently. The carbide insert resists wear longer than plain steel in abrasive materials. The performance jump is worth it when drilling speed drops or tip changes become too frequent. It will not fit tools that require a different thread pattern or shank style.
The H-thread design screws onto a matching 2-1/2 inch drill rod without adapters. Clean the threads before fitting to avoid cross-threading or seizure. Over-tightening can damage the carbide tip or strip the rod threads. Always confirm the rod size and thread type match before use.

The bit uses an H Thread connection that screws directly into a compatible jackhammer rod.
Screw the H Thread shank into the jackhammer rod until it seats fully; the step often missed is confirming the thread engagement is complete before starting the tool.
Replace the bit when the carbide tip shows visible wear, chipping, or when drilling performance in rock or concrete noticeably declines.
