For ACE and ACE PRO users

This microphone adapter connects to Insta360 ACE and ACE PRO action cameras through a USB-C male plug. It adds a 3.5 mm audio input so an external microphone can be used while the camera charges through the USB-C charging input. The unit measures 1.1 x 1.1 x 0.7 and weighs 0.2 oz.

Plug-and-play connection

Insert the USB-C male connector into the camera port, then attach a 3.5 mm microphone and a USB-C power source. No drivers or firmware updates are required. The only common issue is forgetting to enable external audio in the camera menu, which leaves the internal microphone active.

Sustained recording with power

Because the adapter passes charging current to the camera, recording can continue for as long as the power source lasts. Audio capture remains stable during long sessions, and the compact 1.1 x 1.1 x 0.7 form factor adds no noticeable heat or bulk to the rig.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the adapter is charging my ACE PRO while recording through the 3.5mm input?

The USB-C charging input and 3.5mm audio input operate simultaneously; when connected the camera shows the charging indicator and the audio meter responds to the external microphone.

What comes in the box with the CINSAAXD and do I need a separate cable?

The package includes the adapter only; you must supply your own 3.5mm microphone and a USB-C power cable or charger.

Which version of the adapter matches my camera — ACE or ACE PRO?

The single CINSAAXD model is compatible with both the ACE and the ACE PRO, so no version choice is required.
