Product identity

Insul-Tube pipe insulation tube in NBR/PVC closed-cell foam, 1-3/8 inch inside diameter and six-foot length, supplied unslit for custom cutting. Suits plumbers and HVAC installers protecting copper or iron pipe runs.

Who it suits

Fits one-inch nominal pipe and 1-3/8 inch copper tube; plenum-rated with flame spread 71 and smoke developed 96 for commercial duct penetrations. Unsuitable for installers needing pre-slit self-seal sleeves or diameters outside the stated size.

Installation notes

Flexible closed-cell tube slides over pipe before connection; installer must slit and seal joints with compatible adhesive tape. Errors include stretching material thin at bends and leaving gaps that reduce the rated R-value of 2.9.
