Intel 10G SFP+ SR Switch Module

This Intel switch module provides a 10G Ethernet SFP+ SR transceiver for short-range fibre links in data-centre and enterprise networks. It suits administrators adding 10G connectivity to compatible switches or routers. The module uses an SFP interface and is supplied new in original Intel packaging.

Tool-less SFP installation and compatibility notes

The hot-pluggable SFP form factor allows tool-less insertion into any compliant cage, so installation takes seconds. The main issue arises when the host equipment lacks SFP+ SR support or requires a different wavelength, causing the link to stay down. Buyers needing long-range or copper 10G connections should select a different module type.
