Intel 9462NGW Dual Band Wireless-AC 9462 Wi-Fi adapter

CNVio M.2 wireless adapter

The Intel 9462NGW is a CNVio M.2 module that adds dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 to compatible laptops. It connects through the CNVio interface rather than PCIe or USB, so the host system must provide integrated CNVio support. The card delivers a 433 Mbps maximum data rate on a single spatial stream. No antennas or cables are included.

Upgrading CNVio-equipped laptops

This adapter suits owners of laptops that already use a CNVio-based wireless slot and need a direct replacement or a step up to Bluetooth 5.1. It will not work in standard PCIe M.2 Key E slots, USB headers or older NGFF interfaces. Buyers whose systems require a PCIe Wi-Fi card or a USB dongle should look elsewhere.

CNVio interface requirement

The single specification that decides compatibility is the CNVio interface. Only platforms with an Intel CNVio-capable chipset and the matching M.2 Key E wiring can use this module. Verify the original part number against the listed compatibles such as 01AX795 or J88400-002 before ordering.
