Four-port 10GBase-T adapter

The Intel E610XT4 adds four 10GBase-T ports over a single PCI Express 4.0 x8 slot. It supports 10, 5, 2.5 and 1 Gb/s speeds on twisted-pair cabling. The low-profile card ships with a full-height bracket for standard chassis. It targets servers and workstations that need dense 10 GbE connectivity.

Replaces multi-port 1 GbE cards

Swapping a quad-port 1 GbE NIC for this adapter raises per-port throughput tenfold while consuming one slot instead of several. The jump is worth it when storage replication, virtualisation traffic or backup windows saturate existing 1 GbE links. Existing Cat6a or better cabling is required to reach 10 Gb/s distances.

Verify slot and bracket fit

Confirm the motherboard has a free PCI Express 4.0 x8 slot wired for at least x8 electrical lanes. Check that the chassis can accept a low-profile card with the supplied full-height bracket. Ensure the operating system has a driver for the Intel E610-XAT2 controller. Power draw is within slot limits.
