A dual-port 10GBase-SR network card using a PCI Express x16 slot and supplied with a standard-profile bracket
The Intel EXPX9502FXSRGP5 is a 10-gigabit Ethernet plug-in card with two SR optical ports. It connects servers or workstations to short-range multimode fibre networks in data-centre or high-performance computing environments. A full-height bracket is included in the box.
The card uses a PCI Express x16 electrical interface, so the host must provide a compatible x16 slot or a larger slot wired for x16 signalling. Network technology is 10GBase-SR, which requires multimode fibre patch cords and matching SFP+ SR transceivers for distances up to the standard short-reach limit.
Verify that your motherboard or riser has a free PCIe x16 slot and that the chassis can accept a full-height bracket. Confirm you have or can source 10GBase-SR SFP+ modules and appropriate multimode fibre cables before installation.

This card provides two 10GBase-SR ports on a single PCI Express x16 slot, so you get twice the 10 Gb/s links without using an extra slot.
Each port runs at 10 Gb/s over short-range multimode fibre, giving two independent 10 Gb/s links for uplinks, storage or cluster traffic.
A PCIe x16 slot supplies far more bandwidth than two 10 Gb/s ports need, so the interface does not limit the adapter’s line-rate performance.
