Compact eight-litre gaming desktop

The Intel NUC 11 Extreme packs an eight-core Core i7-11700B and an RTX 3060 FE graphics card into an ITX chassis measuring 357 x 189 x 120 mm. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 3200 MHz memory and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD come pre-installed. A 650 W 80 Plus Gold power supply and Windows 11 Home complete the ready-to-play system.

Upgrade from integrated-graphics

This configuration replaces machines that rely on processor graphics or older mid-range cards when 1080p high-refresh gaming or light content creation is the target. The jump is worth it if you need double-wide PCIe x16 Gen4 expansion in a footprint smaller than a typical tower. Builders who need more storage bays or a longer graphics card than the 12-inch limit should look elsewhere.

Headroom for 1080p high refresh

The 16 GB dual-channel kit handles current titles and background streams comfortably; the board supports up to 64 GB across two SO-DIMM slots when workloads grow. The 512 GB NVMe drive holds the operating system and a handful of large games before a secondary M.2 SSD becomes necessary. Thunderbolt 4 and six rear USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports keep peripheral bandwidth generous.

Questions about this item

Will the ITX case measuring 357 x 189 x 120 mm fit in my desk cubby?

The case footprint is 357 mm wide, 189 mm deep and 120 mm high; measure your cubby against those three dimensions before ordering.

Which slot takes the RTX 3060 FE Card and what length limit applies?

The double-wide PCIe x16 Gen4 slot accepts cards up to 12 inches long; the RTX 3060 FE Card fits in that slot.

How many M.2 NVMe drives can I add later without removing the existing 512 GB SSD?

Four M.2 slots are available — two Gen4 from the CPU and two Gen3 from the PCH — so three additional NVMe drives can be installed.
