6.40 TB internal NVMe drive for servers with 256-bit encryption, 6650 MB/s read and 5350 MB/s write speeds, 4.5 DWPD endurance
The Intel SSDPECKE064T801 is a 6.40 TB solid state drive in a half-height half-length add-in card. It connects through a PCI Express NVMe 3.1 x8 interface for direct attachment to server platforms. The drive targets write-intensive workloads such as database logging, caching tiers and content delivery nodes that demand sustained throughput.
The HHHL form factor allows the drive to draw cooling airflow from the server chassis without a dedicated fan. With a weight of 6.70 oz it adds minimal mass to a populated backplane. Power consumption scales with the 4.5 DWPD endurance rating, so thermal load remains predictable during continuous mixed read and write streams.
Hardware-based 256-bit encryption secures data at rest without host CPU overhead. The 54630.40 TBW rating supports heavy write cycles over the service life, reducing the frequency of drive replacements in high-churn environments. No wireless capability is present, keeping the attack surface limited to the PCIe link.

Insert the half-height half-length card into a PCI Express 3.1 x8 slot and secure the retention bracket; the step often missed is confirming the motherboard BIOS recognises the NVMe drive before loading the OS.
The drive is rated for 4.5 drive writes per day and 54630.40 TB total bytes written; once that endurance limit is reached the SSD must be replaced.
Sustained write throughput is capped at 5350 MB/s, and the 4.5 DWPD endurance budget will be consumed before the 6650 MB/s read ceiling becomes a bottleneck.
