A 10Gbps Ethernet adapter with a single RJ45 port on a PCIe 2.1 x8 interface
The Intel X540T1BLK provides one RJ45 port running at 10Gbps over a PCIe 2.1 x8 slot at 5.0 GT/s. It suits workstations and servers that need a single high-speed copper link without fibre transceivers.
The x8 electrical interface supplies enough bandwidth for continuous 10Gbps traffic in both directions. Heat output remains modest for a 10GBASE-T controller, so the card maintains line rate during long transfers without throttling.
The bracket fits a typical half-height PCIe slot and the single RJ45 jack uses common Cat6a or better cabling. Builders must verify the motherboard supplies an x8 electrical link; x4 slots will limit maximum throughput.

The adapter uses a PCIe 2.1 x8 interface rated at 5.0 GT/s and a single RJ45 port for 10 Gbps traffic; sustained line-rate throughput will draw the rated power and produce corresponding heat inside the chassis.
You need a free PCIe x8 (or wider) slot compatible with the 2.1 specification and a Cat6a or better RJ45 patch cable to reach the 10 Gbps link speed.
The RJ45 connector carries the 10 GBASE-T PHY; link speed depends on the partner device and cable grade, so a 1 Gbps port will only connect at its own maximum rate.
