Intel X540 dual-port 10 GbE PCIe x8 network card

Intel

Intel X540T2BLK Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X540-T2 10 GbE 2 Port RJ-45 PCIe x8 Bulk

SKU CH-HZJ7-2BNC4

Adds dual 10 GbE RJ-45 ports via PCIe x8 for 10GBASE-T server networking

  • Dual 10 GbE ports for high-speed networking
  • PCI Express x8 host interface for server compatibility
  • Auto-negotiation with 1 GbE for easy migration
  • Works with existing Cat 6A cabling infrastructure
  • Bulk packaging for system integrator deployments

Dual-Port 10 GbE Server Adapter

The Intel X540-T2 is a converged network adapter built for servers that need two 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections over twisted-pair copper. It installs in a PCI Express x8 slot and includes both low-profile and full-height brackets for flexible chassis fit.

Sustained 10 GbE Throughput

The X540 controller maintains line-rate 10 GbE on both ports continuously, avoiding the throughput drops seen in burst-only designs. Auto-negotiation with 1 GbE switches allows gradual infrastructure upgrades without immediate switch replacement.

Replaces Single-Port or 1 GbE NICs

This dual-port card replaces single-port 10 GbE adapters or pairs of 1 GbE NICs when aggregated bandwidth and link redundancy are required. The jump is worth it when server workloads saturate existing 1 GbE links or when a second physical port is needed for failover.
