Intel X710-T4 10GBase-T 4-port network card

SKU CH-MHX5-4WYVV

Four-port 10GBase-T server adapter connects via PCI Express 3.0 x8 using twisted-pair cabling

  • Four 10GBase-T ports on a single card for high-density server connectivity
  • PCI Express 3.0 x8 host interface provides ample bandwidth for four 10 GbE links
  • RJ-45 twisted-pair media support lets you use existing copper cabling infrastructure
  • Designed for server deployment with Intel X710 controller reliability
  • 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance across all four ports simultaneously

Four-port 10GBase-T server adapter

This Intel X710-T4 card delivers four RJ-45 ports running at 10 Gbps over twisted-pair copper cabling. It is built for servers that need high-density 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity without switching to fibre optics.

PCIe 3.0 x8 slot and Cat 6a cabling required

Your motherboard must provide a free PCI Express 3.0 x8 electrical link and a physical slot that can accept the card length. Each port needs Cat 6a or better cable to reach the rated 10 Gbps speed over the full distance.

Frees expansion slots by combining four links

A single x8 connector replaces four separate single-port adapters, leaving more slots open for storage controllers or accelerators. The converged design handles both networking and storage traffic on the same ports, reducing cable count and switch-port usage.

Questions about this item

Does the Intel X710-T4 include cables or SFP modules, or must they be purchased separately?

The adapter ships with four RJ-45 ports ready for twisted-pair copper cabling; no cables or transceivers are included in the box.

The listing shows a single model X710-T4 with four ports — are there other port-count or speed variants I should consider?

This part is the four-port 10GBase-T version; Intel offers dual-port and single-port models in the same series, but they carry different part numbers.

What does the 10GBase-T rating mean for actual throughput when the card is installed in a PCIe 3.0 x8 server slot?

Each port delivers up to 10 Gb/s over Cat6a or better copper, and the x8 host interface provides enough lane bandwidth for all four ports to run at line rate simultaneously.
