Eight-port Fast Ethernet switch delivers data and up to 30 watts of PoE+ power per port over standard network cables
The Intellinet Network Solutions 560764 is an eight-port desktop switch that delivers data and electrical power over standard network cabling. Every RJ45 port operates at 10/100 Mbps and supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards. The unit provides a total PoE power budget of 140 watts, allowing up to 30 watts per port for connected devices such as wireless access points, VoIP phones and IP cameras. Auto-sensing ports automatically negotiate the optimal link speed for each device.
This switch is designed for installers who need to power multiple PoE or PoE+ endpoints from a single desktop unit without running separate power lines. It fits environments where 100 Mbps bandwidth satisfies the application, such as IP surveillance or voice networks. Buyers who require Gigabit Ethernet throughput on any port should consider a different model, as every port on this device is limited to 100 Mbps. The 1.6 Gbps backplane and 160 kByte buffer are sized for Fast Ethernet traffic loads.
The single specification that determines suitability is the 140-watt total PoE power budget shared across all eight ports. Each port can supply up to 30 watts under the 802.3at standard, but the combined draw of all connected devices must stay within the 140-watt limit. Calculate the aggregate power requirement of your access points, cameras or phones before purchase; if the total exceeds this budget, you will need a switch with a higher power capacity or fewer powered devices.

Place the unit on a flat surface, connect the included power cable to a 100~240VAC outlet, then plug devices into the eight RJ45 ports; the step often missed is verifying each linked device shows a PoE LED so you know the 140 W budget is actually delivering power.
The switch has no moving parts or user-serviceable modules; keep ventilation clear so the 0 °C to 40 °C operating range is maintained and wipe dust from the 8.9" x 4.8" x 1.7" chassis periodically — no scheduled component replacements are required.
The 140 W total PoE budget is reached before the 1.6 Gbps backplane saturates, so sustained full-power use on every port will hit the power ceiling first.
