Industrial thermal transfer label printer with RFID encoding, 203 dpi resolution, LAN, USB, serial and parallel interfaces, 32 MB memory, and 104 mm maximum print width
The Intermec EasyCoder PM4i is an industrial barcode and label printer built for direct thermal or thermal transfer printing. It supports RFID encoding and connects through LAN, USB, serial or parallel interfaces. This unit suits warehouses, manufacturing lines and logistics operations that need durable labels with embedded RFID data. It is not for buyers who need colour output or desktop footprint.
The printer integrates into existing networks via LAN and offers USB, serial and parallel ports for direct host connection. Setup requires loading media up to 104 mm wide and configuring the 32 MB onboard memory for label formats. Common issues include ribbon wrinkling when tension is uneven and RFID tag calibration failures if the inlay position does not match the label layout.
The maximum print width of 104 mm (4.09 in) determines whether the PM4i fits your label format. If your application requires wider labels, this printer cannot accommodate them. The 203 x 203 dpi resolution and 8 ips print speed are fixed by the printhead and cannot be upgraded.

Print a test label with the built-in RFID calibration routine; the printer will report tag-read success and encode a sample EPC so you can verify the 203 x 203 dpi output and RFID function together.
The box contains the PM4i printer, power cord and interface cables for LAN, parallel, serial and USB; you must supply 4.5 inch wide label stock and matching thermal-transfer ribbon.
This unit is the 203 x 203 dpi version; it prints up to 104 mm width at 8 inches per second, which is the standard resolution for general-purpose logistics labels.
