Prints barcodes and labels at 203 dpi using direct thermal or thermal transfer with USB, Ethernet and serial connections
The Intermec PM4i PM4C910000300020 is a new thermal transfer and direct thermal barcode label printer built for continuous industrial use. It supports both ribbon-based and ribbon-free printing on a wide range of media types. Network connectivity via Ethernet and USB-B allows integration into existing warehouse management systems.
The single specification that determines fit is the fixed 203 x 203 dpi resolution, equal to 8 dots per millimetre. This density meets common shipping label and compliance labelling standards but cannot render fine 2D barcodes or small graphics that require 300 dpi or higher. Buyers needing denser barcode output must select a different printhead option.
The printer runs on 100-240 VAC at 45-65 Hz with an included power cord, drawing minimal current during idle and print cycles. Thermal print technology produces no impact noise, making it suitable for quiet office-adjacent environments. No active cooling fans are present, so acoustic output remains limited to media advance and printhead actuation sounds.

The 203 dpi resolution gives 8 dots per millimetre, producing crisp barcodes and text for standard shipping and inventory labels.
USB-B and 10/100Base-TX Ethernet set the practical throughput ceiling, while the RS-232 DB9 serial port runs at legacy baud rates.
The unit operates on 100-240 VAC at 45-65 Hz and ships with a power cord, so only a standard mains outlet and desktop or shelf space are required.
