4K@60Hz Wireless HDMI Extender Kit

The IOGEAR GW4K60KIT transmits 3840x2160 video at 60Hz up to 165ft (50m) line of sight using 5GHz wireless technology. The kit includes transmitter and receiver units that eliminate long cable runs for home theatre or presentation spaces. It also passes IR signals and supports keyboard and mouse control for remote source operation.

Installers needing cable-free 4K extension

This kit suits setups where running HDMI cable is impractical but a clear 5GHz path exists between source and display. Buyers who need transmission through walls, beyond 165ft, or without line of sight should consider wired or fibre alternatives. It is not for environments where 5GHz congestion cannot be managed via channel switching.

165ft (50m) line-of-sight range at 4K@60Hz

The maximum stated distance of 165ft (50m) applies only with unobstructed line of sight on the 5GHz band. Obstructions, interference or longer distances will reduce stability or prevent a link. Firmware upgrades are possible via the Micro-USB port if signal behaviour needs adjustment.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the transmitter produce when running 4K@60Hz video all day?

The kit uses 5GHz wireless transmission with no moving parts, so it runs silently and generates minimal heat during continuous 3840x2160@60Hz streaming.

What must I already own to connect a keyboard and mouse for remote control?

You need standard USB keyboard and mouse devices; the receiver provides USB ports for them to control the source over the 165ft wireless link.

Will this extender work with my older 1080p display and HDMI 1.4 source?

Yes, the system transmits up to 4K@60Hz and is backward compatible with lower-resolution HDMI sources and displays within the 50-meter line-of-sight range.
