It is aimed at laptop, desktop and console users who need more Type-A connections without adding a powered dock. USB 2.0 data and 5 V charging

The cable operates at USB 2.0 speeds up to 480 Mbps and delivers a combined 5 V 2.4 A charge current with a 1.5 A per-port limit, enough for phones, e-readers and Bluetooth speakers. It draws all power from the host USB-C port so no external supply is needed, but it cannot support high-wattage devices such as tablets that require a dedicated charger.
