10 in. Sediment Filter & O-Ring

This replacement cartridge fits 10-inch Pelican Water dispenser housings and ships with a fresh O-ring for a reliable seal. It uses a polypropylene depth-media element to trap sediment, rust and scale before water reaches the tap. Homeowners who want cleaner drinking water without replacing the entire dispenser will find this a direct, drop-in solution. The filter is sold new and ready to install.

How it fits a kitchen water system

The cartridge slides into the existing sump, so no plumbing modifications or special tools are required beyond the housing wrench you already use for routine changes. Replacing only the element and seal keeps the housing, bracket and fittings in service, reducing waste and cost. It does not address dissolved minerals, chlorine taste or microbiological contaminants, so buyers who need broader treatment should add a dedicated carbon or reverse-osmosis stage.

Questions about this item

How long does the 10 in. sediment filter last before needing replacement?

The filter lifespan depends on water quality and usage volume; typical replacement intervals range from three to six months for standard household use.

Does the polypropylene cartridge affect water pressure after extended daily use?

Pressure drop remains minimal while the cartridge is clean; noticeable flow reduction signals that the sediment load has reached capacity and the filter should be changed.
