Clip-on outdoor fan for portable cooling

The IRIS USA 302015 is a 5-inch battery-operated clip fan designed for outdoor and indoor use where mains power is unavailable. It suits campers, RV travellers, golfers and anyone needing directed airflow at a desk, stroller or bedside. The lightweight plastic housing weighs 0.9 pounds and measures 6.61 in x 3.03 in x 10.87 in.

Battery power limits runtime to 58 hours on low

Two D-type batteries (not included) drive the 415 milliwatt DC motor. At the lowest speed the fan runs for up to 58 hours; higher speed reduces that runtime. There is no AC adapter or USB charging option, so extended use depends on carrying spare cells. The button control offers only low and high settings with no variable speed or timer.

310° rotation and 90° tilt set airflow direction

The fan head rotates horizontally up to 310° and tilts vertically 90°, letting you aim the breeze precisely. The 2-inch wide clip secures the unit to shelves, cart frames, tent poles or bed rails. Without oscillation the fan only blows where you point it, so buyers wanting automatic sweep should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Which power option should I choose for the 302015 clip fan?

The 302015 runs on two D-type batteries (not included) and has no mains or USB alternative, so the only choice is battery power.

What does the 415 milliwatt motor rating mean when the fan is running?

The 415 milliwatt DC motor draws very little current, which allows up to 58 hours of runtime on the low speed setting.

How does the button control interface limit the speed choices?

The button control provides only two fixed speeds — low and high — with no variable or intermediate settings.
