4U Rackmount Server Chassis

The iStarUSA D-410B8SA-SILVER is a 4U rackmount server chassis built from zinc-coated steel in a silver finish. It accepts motherboards up to 12 by 13 inches and includes front USB ports for convenient peripheral access. Two 120mm fans are pre-installed to provide baseline airflow through the enclosure.

Suited For Standard-Depth Server Builds

This chassis suits builders assembling rackmount servers with standard-depth boards that fit the 12 by 13 inch limit. It is not for deployments requiring extended ATX or larger proprietary motherboards that exceed those dimensions. Buyers needing hot-swap drive bays or redundant power supply support should look at alternative chassis designs.

Sustained Airflow With Dual Fans

Under continuous load the two 120mm fans move a steady volume of air across installed components to manage thermal buildup. The zinc-coated steel construction resists corrosion during long-term rack deployment. Fan speed and acoustic output will vary with the specific fan models installed and the system fan curve configured by the builder.

Questions about this item

What motherboard dimensions does the D-410B8SA-SILVER support?

The chassis accepts motherboards up to 12 inches by 13 inches.

Can the two 120mm fans cool older high-wattage CPUs in this 4U case?

The pair of 120mm fans provide front-to-rear airflow typical for 4U rackmounts; verify CPU thermal limits against the fan CFM ratings.

How do I confirm the front USB ports are active after assembly?

Connect the internal USB header to the motherboard, then plug a device into each front port and verify enumeration in the OS.
