3U Compact Rackmount Chassis

The iStarUSA D300FS-DE1BK2535 is a 3U server chassis designed for rackmount deployment. It features a compact, stylish aluminium front panel with integrated locks for physical security. The unit includes a 5.25-inch drive bay and a cage supporting 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives. Front-mounted ATX power supply access simplifies maintenance in dense rack environments.

Suited for Front-Access Builds

This chassis suits administrators who need front-accessible power supply replacement and front-panel USB 3.0 connectivity for rapid data transfer. Dual 80mm and 60mm cooling fans provide active airflow through a removable air filter. Builds requiring rear-mounted power supplies or tool-less drive trays not described in the specifications should evaluate alternative enclosures.

Drive Capacity and Thermal Headroom

The internal cage accommodates two 2.5-inch drives alongside a 3.5-inch drive, offering flexible storage density for the 3U form factor. Dual front-panel USB 3.0 ports support high-speed peripheral access. Cooling relies on the included 80mm and 60mm fans; workloads generating sustained high thermal loads may exceed the provided airflow capacity.
