  • 150 W output powers demanding MSI gaming laptops
  • 5 mm plug without centre pin fits listed GT and GX models
  • 6 ft AC cord plus 6 ft DC cord gives extended reach
  • Worldwide 100–240 V input works across regions
  • Replaces 120 W and 150 W units, not 180 W or 230 W

Compatible Laptop Models

This iTekiro 150W AC adapter replaces MSI 150W and 120W chargers for GT683R, GT780R, GX660 and GX780 series laptops. It does not replace 180W or 230W adapters. The unit supplies a maximum of 150W at 20VDC 7.5A, 19.5VDC 7.7A or 19VDC output.

Connector and Power Requirements

Verify that your original charger uses a 5.5 mm diameter plug tip without a centre pin. Confirm the laptop requires no more than 150W and accepts one of the listed output voltages. The adapter operates on AC 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz for worldwide use and includes a 6 ft UL listed 3-prong AC cord plus a 6 ft DC cord.

Ideal Users and Limitations

Suitable for owners of the listed MSI models who need a replacement 150W or 120W power supply with the specified plug type. Not for buyers whose laptops require an 180W or 230W adapter, or whose charging port uses a centre-pin connector or a different plug diameter.

Questions about this item

Does the box include both the AC power cord and the DC cable, or must I buy the wall cord separately?

The package includes a 6 ft UL-listed 3-prong AC power cord and a 6 ft DC power cord, so no separate wall cord is required.

My laptop shipped with a 120 W adapter; will this 150 W unit work, or do I need the 180 W version?

This adapter replaces both 120 W and 150 W MSI chargers; it does not replace 180 W or 230 W models, so it is the correct choice for a 120 W system.

The label shows three output ratings — 20 V at 7.5 A, 19.5 V at 7.7 A and 19 V — which one will my MSI GT780R actually use?

The laptop draws the voltage it requires; the adapter can supply up to 150 W at any of the listed voltages, so the GT780R will negotiate the appropriate level automatically.
