180W AC adapter for MSI Katana laptops

This 180W AC adapter is built for MSI Katana GF66 models including the 11UE and 12UC series. It supplies 20V at 9A to charge the internal lithium-ion battery and run the system. The unit suits owners who need a direct replacement for the original charger.

Practical limits of the 20V 9A output

The adapter delivers a maximum of 180W from a 100-240V 50-60Hz mains supply. Output can also operate at 19.5V 9.23A or 19V 9.5A depending on the laptop's negotiation. The 4.5mm plug tip with centre pin must match the socket exactly or the laptop will not charge.

Installation and common issues

The package includes a 6ft UL-listed 3-prong AC cord and a 6ft DC cord for flexible placement. Installation is limited to plugging both cords in and seating the barrel connector firmly. A loose centre pin or mismatched tip size are the usual reasons the unit appears dead on arrival.
