It also matches Dell part numbers P23T, P26F, P26T, P28F, P30G, P35F, P35G, P36F, P37G, P38F, P39F, P40F, P40G, P41F, P44G, P63G and P79G. Buyers with other Dell laptops or non-Dell devices cannot use this charger.

Critical Output Specification

The inverter delivers 19.5 V DC at 3.34 A for a maximum of 65 W, matching Dell 45 W and 65 W adapter requirements. It accepts 12–24 V input from a vehicle cigarette lighter socket. If your laptop needs a different voltage or higher wattage, this unit will not power it correctly.

Right-Angle Connector and Protection

A 90-degree DC plug reduces strain on the laptop power jack and the adapter itself. Built-in short-circuit and over-temperature protection shut the unit down under fault conditions. A long cord lets the charger reach rear seats, and a smart LED indicates power status. No AC outlet or household plug is included.

Questions about this item

What does the 65 W output mean when I plug this into my Dell XPS 15?

The inverter delivers up to 19.5 V at 3.34 A, so it can run the laptop and charge its battery at the same rate as the original 65 W Dell adapter.

How does the 12 – 24 V DC input limit what I can use it with?

It works from any vehicle socket that supplies 12 V to 24 V DC, such as standard car, truck or RV cigarette-lighter outlets.

Will the 3.94" x 1.57" x 1.18" brick and right-angle tip fit my XPS 15 power jack?

The compact brick and 90-degree DC connector are designed to match the Dell XPS 15 L501X, L502X, L521X and 15z jack without blocking adjacent ports.
