The jump is worth it when you need to power or charge the notebook while the vehicle engine is running. It is not an AC wall adapter and cannot be used from mains outlets.

90 W maximum output for charging and operation

The 90 W peak output comfortably handles simultaneous laptop operation and battery charging for supported FX-series machines. Headroom runs out if the notebook draws more than 90 W or if the vehicle socket supplies less than 12 V. The long power cord provides extra reach inside the cabin.
