6" Adjustable Wrench, .76" Jaw

This 6-inch adjustable wrench from J S Products delivers a maximum jaw opening of .76 inches for a range of fastener sizes. Heat-treated forged steel construction provides the strength needed for tightening and loosening tasks. The textured cushion grip handles improve comfort and control during extended use. It meets or exceeds all ANSI requirements for hand wrenches.

Upgrading from fixed-size or worn wrenches

Mechanics and DIY users who currently rely on sets of fixed open-end wrenches gain the flexibility of a single adjustable tool. The move is worthwhile when a job calls for multiple fastener sizes and carrying a full set is impractical. It does not suit buyers who need the precise fit and higher torque capacity of a correctly sized fixed wrench. Builders requiring a larger maximum jaw capacity should select a longer adjustable model.

Questions about this item

What maximum jaw opening does the 6" adjustable wrench model 251553 provide?

The wrench opens to .76 inches, allowing it to fit a range of fastener sizes within that capacity.

How do you set the jaw correctly on this adjustable wrench?

Turn the knurled worm gear until the movable jaw contacts the fastener flats snugly, then tighten slightly more; the common error is leaving a gap that lets the jaw slip and round the corners.
