Compact USB-C dock for laptops and tablets
The JCH471 adds a Gigabit Ethernet port and three USB 3.0 Type-A ports through a single USB-C connection. Its 5.7-inch cable keeps the aluminium housing close to the device, reducing strain on the port. The adapter draws power from the host and requires no external supply. It works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS.
Three USB 3.0 ports and one Gigabit link
Each Type-A port supports up to 5 Gbps transfer speed, enough for external SSDs, flash drives or peripherals. The Ethernet port delivers a full gigabit link with LED indicators for link and activity. Total bandwidth is shared across the four ports, so simultaneous heavy transfers on multiple drives will hit the 5 Gbps aggregate ceiling.
Replaces a dongle plus a separate hub
Users carrying a single USB-C-to-Ethernet dongle and a separate USB hub can consolidate to this one unit. The jump is worth it when a laptop has only one USB-C port and you need wired networking plus multiple Type-A devices at once. It does not add video output, power delivery pass-through or additional USB-C ports.

Questions about this item
Will the 5.7" cable reach the USB-C port on my older laptop without strain?
The integrated 5.7-inch cable is designed to connect directly to a USB-C port on Windows 7/8.1/10, macOS 10.8+, Linux kernel 2.6/3.x, or Chrome OS 3.8+ devices, providing Gigabit Ethernet and three USB 3.0 Type-A ports without needing an extra cable.
How do I confirm the Gigabit Ethernet link is active after plugging in the JCH471?
The adapter includes link and activity LED indicator lights on the Ethernet port; a solid or blinking light confirms an active network connection and data transfer once the driver installs automatically on supported systems.
Does the package include everything needed to connect three USB-A peripherals and wired Ethernet on Windows 7?
The box contains the JCH471 adapter, a quick installation guide, and a driver CD; Windows 7 requires an internet connection for automatic driver installation, but no separate cables or power supply are needed for the three USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet.
