Industrial Climbing Hard Hat

The Jackson Safety CH-400V is a climbing-inspired industrial hard hat moulded from lightweight ABS. Its six-point ratcheting suspension adjusts to fit head sizes 6-1/2 to 8 for secure comfort during extended wear. The vented design includes sliding holes that open or close to suit changing weather conditions. It is built for at-height tasks, scaffolding, confined spaces and general construction sites requiring chin straps.

ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 Class C Protection

This hard hat meets ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 and Class C standards for impact and penetration resistance. The ABS shell delivers all-around head protection in demanding environments. Ventilation can be sealed when conditions demand full coverage. It is not intended for applications requiring electrical insulation beyond Class C or Type 2 lateral impact certification.

6-Point Rapid Dial Suspension

The 6-pt ratcheting suspension is the single feature that determines fit and stability on the job. A simple dial tightens or loosens the harness across the full 6-1/2 to 8 size range without removing the hat. Buyers who need a non-ratcheting pin-lock system or a different suspension geometry should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 6-point ratcheting suspension on the CH-400V fit over my existing welding helmet headgear?

The 6-point ratcheting suspension adjusts from 6-1/2 to 8 and is designed to sit securely on the head without additional headgear underneath.

How do I confirm the sliding vent holes on the CH-400V are operating correctly after I put it on?

Move the vent slides manually; they should open and close smoothly, allowing airflow when open and sealing when closed.

Does the 20926 hard hat include a chin strap or do I need to order one separately?

The hard hat is sold as the shell with 6-point suspension; chin straps are not included and must be purchased separately.
