Adds dual-band Wi-Fi to a PC via USB 2.0, reaching 433 Mbps on 5.8 GHz or 150 Mbps on 2.4 GHz with an external antenna
This USB 2.0 wireless adapter adds dual-band 802.11ac connectivity to any computer with a free USB port. It is aimed at users who need to join 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz networks without opening the chassis or installing an internal card.
The adapter delivers up to 433 Mbps on the 5.8 GHz band and 150 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band using a single RTL8811CU 1T1R radio. Backwards compatibility with 802.11a/b/g/n ensures it will associate with older routers and access points.
Because the USB 2.0 interface caps sustained transfer well below the 600 Mbps PHY rate, real-world file moves and streams settle at the bus limit. The external antenna helps maintain a stable link during extended sessions, but the USB bottleneck remains the deciding factor for continuous load.

The chipset delivers up to 433 Mbps on 5.8 GHz and 150 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, so actual throughput depends on band choice, distance and router capabilities.
USB 2.0 limits the connection to its own signalling ceiling, so wireless rates above that ceiling will be constrained by the bus.
A free USB-A port and space for the attached antenna; drivers are available for Windows 11, 10, 7, XP and Linux.
