15-in-1 USB-C Dock for MacBook

The Jansicotek BXS15IN1 adds fifteen connections to a single Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C port on compatible MacBook Pro, Air and Retina models from 2015 to 2020. It delivers 4K HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, seven USB-A ports, SD and TF card slots, a 3.5 mm audio jack and wireless charging up to 10 W.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

The aluminium enclosure dissipates heat passively without fans, so operation is silent during typical office workloads. The hub draws power from the host laptop and passes up to 87 W through its USB-C PD port to keep the MacBook charged while peripherals are connected.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous multi-port use the Gigabit Ethernet link auto-negotiates to the highest available speed and the three USB 3.0 ports maintain 5 Gbps throughput. The four USB 2.0 ports provide steady 480 Mbps connections for input devices, while the PD port sustains laptop charging at the full rated wattage.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the Jansicotek BXS15IN1 to my Thunderbolt 3 MacBook Pro and which step is often missed?

Plug the hub's USB-C cable into a Thunderbolt 3 port on the MacBook Pro; the step often missed is connecting a power adapter to the hub's PD port so the laptop charges while all 15 ports are active.

What maintenance or replacement will the wireless charging pad need over time?

The built-in 5W, 7.5W and 10W wireless charging surface has no user-replaceable parts; keep it free of metal objects and dust so the coil stays efficient.

What limit appears first when I run 4K@30Hz video, gigabit Ethernet and all seven USB-A ports together?

The host Thunderbolt 3 link and the hub's 87W PD input become the bottleneck before any single port hits its own 5Gbps or 1000Mbps rating.
