Universal card reader with Lightning.
The Jansicotek CLAP436 combines a Lightning connector, a USB-C port and a USB-A port in a single white adapter. It reads SD and microSD cards up to 256 GB and adds a Lightning charging port so an iPhone or iPad can stay powered while files move. The plug-and-play design needs no drivers, apps or network connection.
Sustained transfer at up to 5 Gbps
The reader maintains its quoted 5 Gbps rate across long copy sessions rather than only in short bursts. That steady throughput keeps photo and video offloads predictable when moving large batches between a camera card and a phone, tablet or computer.
Limited by USB 3.x bus and card media
Real-world speed cannot exceed the host device’s USB 3.x implementation or the inserted card’s own write ceiling. The Lightning charging port passes power only and does not increase data bandwidth. Compatibility covers devices with Lightning, USB-C or USB-A ports, but the adapter adds no wireless or network capability.

Questions about this item
Does the CLAP436 generate noticeable heat or noise during long transfer sessions?
The reader has no moving parts or active cooling, so it runs silently and stays cool even during extended file transfers.
What device ports must I already have to use the Lightning, USB-C and USB-A connectors on this reader?
You need a Lightning port on your iPhone or iPad, a USB-C port with OTG support on Android or a computer, and a standard USB-A port for peripherals such as a keyboard or flash drive.
Will the USB-A ports on the CLAP436 work with an older USB 2.0 flash drive or keyboard I still use?
Yes, the USB-A ports are backward compatible, so legacy USB 2.0 devices function normally alongside newer ones.
