Jansicotek DS14IN1 14-in-1 Hub

The Jansicotek DS14IN1 is a 14-in-1 aluminum USB-C hub built for MacBook users who need legacy ports and modern speed in one silver enclosure. It connects through Thunderbolt 3 or standard USB-C and adds video, networking, storage and audio without extra drivers. The compact 10.5 x 3 x .75 inch frame weighs 14 ounces and slips into a laptop bag alongside 13, 14, 15 or 16 inch models from 2015 through 2020.

Capacity and headroom

Dual 4K HDMI and VGA outputs drive external displays at 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz or 1080p @ 60 Hz, with VGA falling back to 2k @ 60 Hz when HDMI is active. Three USB 3.0 Type-A ports and two USB-C data ports each run at 5 Gbps, while two USB 2.0 Type-A ports handle 480 Mbps peripherals. Gigabit RJ45 delivers 1000 Mbps wired networking and SD plus microSD slots read both cards simultaneously. The PD port accepts up to 87 W input, though the internal PD controller is rated for 60 W on the technical standard.

Build and daily use

An aluminum alloy shell dissipates heat during sustained transfers and resists wear on a desk or in transit. The 3.5 mm combo jack supports headset audio and microphone input at the same time. Two USB-C data ports and one PD port mean you can chain a drive, a dock and keep the laptop charged from a single cable. Buyers who need more than two simultaneous 4K outputs or 10 Gbps USB lanes will find the hub maxed out at 5 Gbps and 30 Hz video.

Questions about this item

Will the DS14IN1 hub work with my 2016 MacBook Pro 15-inch that has Thunderbolt 3 ports?

The hub is compatible with MacBook Pro 15-inch models from 2016 through 2020 that use Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C, so your 2016 machine will connect and operate normally.

How can I verify the hub is delivering 87 W power to my laptop after I plug it in?

Connect an 87 W USB-C power adapter to the hub's PD port, then check your Mac's System Information under Power — it will show the charger wattage and confirm the hub is passing the full 87 W.

Does the box include an HDMI cable or do I need to supply my own?

The package contains the aluminum hub only; you must provide your own HDMI cable, VGA cable, Ethernet cable and any USB-C power adapter you wish to use for pass-through charging.
