HDMI KVM USB Extender 1080p 60m

This Jansicotek extender transmits HDMI video, USB keyboard and mouse signals, and audio up to 60 metres over a single CAT6 cable. It supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz with 3D and HDR, plus LPCM, Dolby Digital and DTS audio formats. The built-in PoC function powers the receiver through the cable so only one 12 V power adapter is required. A local HDMI loop output on the transmitter lets you keep a monitor at the source.

Installation uses one CAT5e

Connect the transmitter to the HDMI source and USB host, link the receiver to the display and peripherals, then run the cable between the two units. The transmitter accepts a Type-B USB link to the PC while the receiver provides USB ports for a wired or wireless keyboard and mouse. Common issues include exceeding the 60 metre limit on CAT6, using cables below AWG23 gauge, or mismatched wiring standards that break the 100 ohm impedance requirement.

Verify your source outputs 1080p at 60 Hz or lower

The extender handles 576p, 720p and 1080p at 60 Hz but does not support higher refresh rates or 4K resolutions. Ensure the HDMI source and display are HDCP 1.4 compliant and that the USB host only needs HID-class keyboard and mouse traffic. Confirm you have a solid CAT5e or CAT6 patch cable up to the rated distance: 40 metres on CAT5, 50 metres on CAT5e, or 60 metres on CAT6.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the extender is passing 1080p60 video and USB HID signals after connecting the Cat6 cable?

Check that the display shows 1920x1080 at 60 Hz with no artefacts and that a wired or wireless keyboard and mouse control the source PC from the receiver side; the link uses uncompressed zero-delay transmission so latency should be imperceptible.

Which items are included in the package and what extra cable must I provide?

The box contains one transmitter, one receiver, one 12 V/1 A power adapter and a user manual; you must supply a single AWG23 Cat5e or Cat6 patch cable up to the required distance.

Which cable category should I choose for a 50 metre run versus a 60 metre run?

Use Cat5e for runs up to 50 m (164 ft) and Cat6 for the full 60 m (196 ft) maximum; Cat5 is limited to 40 m (131 ft).
