What this mouse is

The Jansicotek HXSJ M10 is a right-handed wireless gaming mouse that connects through a 2.4 GHz USB receiver. It is aimed at gamers and office users who want a cord-free setup with adjustable sensitivity. The package includes the mouse, a charging cable, a USB power adapter and a user manual.

Practical limits of the 2.4 GHz link

The radio link works up to 10 metres or 30 feet from the receiver, so the mouse stays responsive across a typical desk. Five fixed DPI steps — 800, 1200, 1600, 2000 and 2400 — are selectable, but no software customisation is mentioned. The sensor is an optical laser type that tracks on common surfaces. After eight minutes of inactivity the mouse enters sleep mode to save power.

Build quality and daily use

The shell is shaped for a palm grip and the left and right buttons are engineered to cut click noise by roughly half, making it suitable for shared spaces. A red flash on the scroll wheel warns when the battery runs low. The rated switch life is five million clicks. The 50 cm charging cable and USB adapter let you top up the battery without a separate charger.

Not for buyers who need

This model does not suit left-handed users, anyone who wants programmable macros or on-the-fly DPI shifts beyond the five preset levels, or people who prefer a lighter mouse with a honeycomb shell. Bluetooth pairing and wired USB operation are not supported.

Questions about this item

Which DPI level should I pick for fast shooters versus everyday work?

The sensor offers five steps — 2400, 2000, 1600, 1200 and 800 DPI — so you can switch to a higher setting for quick flicks in games and drop to a lower one for precise desktop tasks.

What does the 2400 DPI rating actually deliver on screen?

At the top setting the cursor travels 2400 counts for every inch you move the mouse, letting you cross a wide monitor with a short hand sweep while still tracking cleanly on most surfaces.

How far can I sit from the receiver with the 2.4 GHz link?

The 2.4 GHz wireless connection is rated for up to 10 metres (about 30 feet) of clear range, so it covers a typical desk or living-room setup without drop-outs.
