Purpose-built stage lamp

The Jaspertronics U-Stage 2R is a high-pressure short arc discharge lamp rated at 132 watts and 69 volts. It produces 5150 lumens at an 8000 kelvin colour temperature for moving-head fixtures such as the Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR. The lamp carries product code 5002463 and an average rated life of 6000 hours.

Fixture fit and alternatives

This lamp suits owners of listed moving heads including Elation Rayzor Beam 2R, Martin Rush MH4, ADJ Vizi Beam RXONE and Chauvet Rogue R1 Beam that accept a 2R arc source. Venues needing a different wattage, base type or colour temperature should select a lamp matched to their specific fixture requirements.

Deciding specification

The critical match is the 0.8 millimetre arc gap combined with a 37.7 millimetre working distance, which fixes the optical alignment inside compatible 2R heads. If the fixture’s service manual specifies a different arc gap or working distance, this lamp will not strike or focus correctly.

Questions about this item

How do I install the U-Stage 2R lamp in the Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR and what step is often missed?

Align the lamp base with the fixture socket, insert until seated, and tighten the retaining screws; the step often missed is verifying the 37.7 mm working distance after installation.

What maintenance or replacement will the lamp need after extended use?

The lamp is rated for an average life of 6000 hours; after that period the entire lamp must be replaced as the arc tube cannot be serviced separately.

What limit appears first when running the 132W lamp continuously at full output?

The 6000-hour average rated life is the primary limit; sustained operation at 132W and 69V will reach this endpoint before other degradation factors.
