Desk stereo for laptop users

The JBL Pebbles 2.0 system delivers stereo sound from two compact speakers that draw power and audio through a single USB connection. Plug-and-play operation removes the need for a separate power adapter or driver installation. The set is built for laptop owners who want better audio without adding clutter to a small workspace.

Frequency range and sustained output

The speakers cover 70 Hz to 20 kHz, reproducing vocals and mid-range detail clearly during long listening sessions. USB power limits maximum output to levels suited for near-field use at a desk rather than filling a larger room. The simple volume knob lets you adjust level instantly without software menus.

Upgrade from built-in laptop speakers

This system replaces the thin, downward-firing drivers found in most notebooks with a dedicated 2.0 stereo pair that separates left and right channels. The improvement is most noticeable for music, video calls and streaming video where stereo imaging matters. Buyers who need room-filling volume, deep sub-bass or multi-device Bluetooth switching should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot do the JBL Pebbles get when running all day from a USB port?

They draw all power from the USB connection, so heat stays low and there is no external power brick to add warmth.

What port must my computer have for the JBL Pebbles to work?

A single USB port provides both power and the digital audio signal; no separate audio jack or wall outlet is needed.

Will the JBL Pebbles still sound right if I keep using my older laptop or tablet?

The 70 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response works with any device that can send audio over USB, including legacy laptops, tablets and MP3 players.
