Product purpose and fit

The Jespet GOOPAWS bungee leash is built for medium and large dogs weighing up to 150lbs. It provides a 48-inch lead that stretches to 60 inches, giving controlled freedom during runs, hikes or daily walks. The adjustable waist belt and durable clip enable hands-free use while two padded handles allow quick restraint in tight spots.

Practical limits of the bungee system

The elastic section only extends from 48 to 60 inches, so it cannot replace a long-line for recall training or open-field work. Reflective stitching on the leash and belt improves visibility in low light but does not substitute for a dedicated safety light. The polyester construction handles regular pulling but is not rated for extreme chew resistance.

Setup checks before ordering

Verify that your dog’s weight falls within the 150lb upper limit and that a 48-to-60-inch range suits your typical routes. Ensure the 1.0-inch (2.5cm) wide webbing fits your existing collar or harness hardware. Confirm you are comfortable managing a leash that weighs .66lb with the belt attached.

Questions about this item

Which length should I choose between the 48-inch and 60-inch extension?

The leash is 48 inches at rest and stretches to 60 inches when the bungee extends, giving you a single adjustable range rather than two separate sizes.

How does the 150-pound rating work when I am actually running with my dog?

The bungee section absorbs sudden pulls, so a dog up to 150 pounds applies less jerk to your waist belt and handles during sprints or lunges.

What does the 1.0-inch width mean for grip and control?

The 1.0-inch wide polyester webbing fits comfortably in the two padded handles and distributes pulling force evenly across the waist belt clip.
