Pair of gold metal cage lamps

This set contains two cordless table lamps finished in gold paint. Each unit uses a metal cage shell that encloses a warm fairy-light bulb. The lamps are battery operated so they need no mains socket or trailing cable. They arrive new and ready to use.

Suits decorative accent lighting

The lamps work well for living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms or entryways where a portable glow is wanted. They are not suited for tasks that require strong directional light such as reading or detailed work. Buyers who need high-output illumination should consider wired fixtures instead.

Dimensions 5.9 by 5.9 by 6.7 inches

Each lamp measures 5.9 inch wide, 5.9 inch deep and 6.7 inch tall. This compact footprint lets the pair sit on shelves, side tables or mantels without dominating the surface. The size is the key factor when deciding if the lamps fit the intended display area.

Questions about this item

What surface area does each 5.9 by 5.9 inch base need to sit securely?

Each lamp measures 5.9 inches square at the base, so a flat, stable surface at least that wide will support it without overhang.

How do I power the lamp for the first time, and what step is often missed?

Insert the required batteries into the base compartment, then switch the unit on; the step often missed is removing the plastic tab that isolates the battery contacts.

Which parts will need replacing over the life of the lamps?

The warm fairy-light bulbs and the batteries inside each metal cage will need periodic replacement as they dim or deplete.
