Wireless CarPlay Adapter

This 2024 upgrade converts a factory wired CarPlay system to wireless operation. It plugs into the vehicle's USB port and requires no extra drivers or apps. The adapter works only with Apple CarPlay and is not compatible with Android Auto or other infotainment platforms.

Over 600 Car Models Supported

Compatibility covers more than 600 vehicle models that already offer wired CarPlay from the factory. The adapter cannot add CarPlay to a car that lacks the feature, and it will not function with aftermarket head units that do not implement the original wired protocol.

Replaces a Wired Connection

The dongle eliminates the Lightning or USB-C cable between iPhone and head unit while keeping navigation, music, Siri and call features. The jump is worth it for drivers who want cable-free convenience in a compatible car; it does not upgrade screen resolution, add wireless charging or enable CarPlay where the vehicle never had it.

Questions about this item

Will the 2024 Upgrade adapter work with my car's existing wired CarPlay USB port?

Yes, it plugs into the factory wired CarPlay USB port and converts that connection to wireless for iPhone use.

How do I know the JIMTAB adapter has paired correctly after the first setup?

Your iPhone will show the CarPlay interface on the vehicle screen automatically each time you start the car, with no cable attached.

Does the white JIMTAB dongle include a USB cable or do I need to supply one?

The adapter itself has a built-in USB plug, so no separate cable is required for installation.
